Read todays sportpage article by Selena Roberts which highlights how Patrick's stunning performance at Indy500 contrasts Dept of Education sneaky non public efforts in diluting the fairness in what Title IX affords girls to achieve and [get sports education], has resulted in a power grab by govt. in diluting law in boy's favor. Our govt has again changed the rules, and hopefully, with Patrick's showing the administration can get some heat and coverage to make them accountable for this stupid and patently unfair attempt at derailing women's interest and progress in sports. If Rowland is guilty, why not Kerik??? And why is Guiliani so bullet proof? He couldn"t possibly pass the smell test after mentoring and adopting this Kerik sleaze. This was our DA, and Mayor, remember.....BRFORE 9/11??? Where,how, and who has paid Kerik (complete with Tony Soprano turretted pseudo-castle) $millions? This was a street cop/bodyguard/chauffeur for Rudy...doing his bidding. If Rudy didn't know about Kerik's dealings,gifts,free labor.carrying-on with policewoman,multiple affairs; (he HAD to know about the apt.that was used for firemen and police during 9/11), which Kerik converted to sex-pad). Rudy Guiliani knows AT LEAST WHO was paying the over $6000 monthly rent! Who paid for this apartment???? And if Rudy didn't know, he was incompetent. HOW LONG ARE THESE TWO GOING TO GET AWAY WITH USING 9/11 as a shield? Where's the Justice...as we know we are seeing ONLY the tip of the iceberg? Reprisal,personal investigations, and other vendettas have been brought to bear on their critics.....while real investigation and punishment waits in the wings.
It is absurd to contemplate Roemer. Just look at his record when voting for privatization! The Democrats will have a real opportunity in 2008, after the desolation left by GOP. But they must get it together, and rid themselves of From,Shrum,Carville, and all the serial losers and dated thinkers. Party needs new vision, infrastructure, data-base and internet savvy leadership that reaches out to everyone; and aggressively organnizes grass roots activism. And last but not least...succeed in re-shaping the Party, and WINNING!!!!! Out with the "ruling class" of leadership that is out of touch with our base, and beholden to corporate patronage and goodies. We now know that money can be raised in many ways!
